Government Monday, September 12th, 2011The GE Elfun Computer Rehabilitation Program in Schenectady, NY provides free computer equipment to Federally-recognized (501 C) non-profit organizations and schools. Elfun has agreed to expedite requests for computer equipment from non-profits and schools in our area who have lost equipment during the recent storms. Elfun has also agreed to allow Schoharie Valley Watch to distribute computer equipment to local government offices and non-profits who have not yet obtained Federal non-profit status.
If you are a 501 C non-profit or a school/school district please contact the Elfun Program directly for more information by visiting their website: http://computerrehab.org. If you are a local government (Town, Village, County board/agency) or a non-profit organization that does not yet have 501 C status please email Bob Nied: rnied@schoharievalleywatch.org and Schoharie Valley Watch will assist you in obtaining emergency computer equipment.
Note: Because of SVW’s non-profit status and charter we can not assist political organizations or organizations affiliated with a political party or candidate(s). SVW will respond to requests as resources permit. Elfun requires a a $9.00 software license fee per computer. Fees are the responsibility of those requesting equipment
