Proposals for two new natural gas pipelines for our area were announced this week:

Citizen and environmental groups, including SVW are seeking additional information in order to assess the potential impacts of the proposed lines. Rumors of planned private property seizures under Eminent Domain to facilitate the pipeline as well as the location of compressor stations and other support infrastructure have not been confirmed. Residents within proximity of the proposed pipeline route are encouraged to contact their local Town and Planning Boards for additional information as well as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) at: 202-502-6088.
